Closure and Delay Policy Due to Inclement Weather

If weather conditions warrant, it may be necessary to delay or close schools for the safety of the students, their families and faculty. The principal/director consults with the  Superintendent in assessing that determination. We will make a determination as soon as possible, no later than 6:30 a.m. of the school day and post notices on the UCSPPR homepage and with the local media.

When closures exceed a reasonable number of days, UCSPPR may require that days be added to the calendar in order to maintain the level of instruction necessary.

Ordinarily, students should not be released early. Emergency conditions which may warrant early release require consultation and approval from the Diocesan Superintendent prior to the dismissal of the students.

Parents are expected to: 1.) Be responsible for custody of their children until school begins. 2.) Listen to the news broadcasts on stormy mornings. 3.) Decide whether to send their children to school on threatening, stormy days.
